Ginny Parker is in the final phases of completing the new lake ownership directory. A new directory hasn’t been published for a number of years so you’ll be sure to want one. If you neglected to provide information previously and want to be included contact Ginny Parker asap at ginnyparker.parker@gmail.com. The directory will be free with your paid 2012 NSTLRA membership.
NSTLRA director Charles (Cap) Pederson reports that the May, 2012 EWM treatment will include up to 8.7 acres on North Twin, and up to 4.8 acres on South Twin. The granular herbicides being used are Renovate Max G and/or Renovate LZR Max (2,4-D & triclopyr). Our initial quotation is for $28,350.00. Final cost and treatment area size will be determined after the pre-treatment survey. We have chosen Stantec (formerly Bonestroo) for this years application. There are 35 property owners within 200 feet of the treatment areas. They will receive the required letter explaining this year’s treatment. No public notice in the newspaper is required this year, because we are treating less than 10 acres in each lake. Warning signs will be posted within 200′ of the affected areas at the time of treatment.
